Irish Pagan Metallers PRIMORDIAL will be co-headlining the Paganfest tour 2012 kicking off in Oberhausen, Germany the 16th of March 2012!

Comments PRIMORDIAL singer A.A. Nemtheanga: "Never say never right? So we announce our participation in next March's Paganfest festival tour across Central Europe. Anyone who has read any of my various ramblings and musings over the last year or two will know my feelings about the current state of club touring and the industry in general. It's an ugly business but we are definitely ugly enough and getting uglier every year so strangely enough the stars aligned and the dates fell into place for us. Anyone who knows anything about Primordial knows how hard it has become for us to commit to lengthy touring as the years go by. The window of opportunity represents possibly the only opportunity we will have to do a longer tour for 'Redemption' across Europe so as they say…needs must and better the devil you know. Never as I say say never.

Regardless of the fact that the general tone of this tour is a little different. It has a more pronounced mix of light and shade. We have our Icelandic brethren Solstafir taking part which I would have thought alongside ourselves should sweeten the deal for those who may feel the pagan/heathen festival tour holds nothing for them, Romanian shamans NeguraBunget also filling out the darker quotient of the tour. Heidevolk stand firm for proud old values and having taken part in Eluveitie's acoustic album personally my feeling on those guys and girls should be apparent! I support them and the cultural significance they represent. I'm not here to sound the rallying cry for a dying venture (i.e touring) or sound the death knell for Primordial club touring we are simply taking part, we have some interesting and new things planned and the tour has some light and shade, which may be difficult for some people to take but this is how it is. Of course some territories are missed and we apologise for this but this is a mixture of market forces and pragmatism and unfortunately nothing to do with us, we hope to fill in the blanks over time. Bottom line, Primordial is touring….this is the most important fact and you know what you are gonna get…blood sweat and fire so see you on the field…"

There can be no doubt that Freedom Call, in addition to their many other irrefutable fortes, are also a first-rate live act. Their concerts see the melodic metal outfit from Southern Germany deliver a veritable a riot of musical zest, positive energy and personal optimism. So it's not surprising that vocalist/guitarist Chris Bay and his team have been wanting to add this dynamic flair to one of their studio productions without neglecting their familiar love of detail – which the band from Nuremberg have skilfully accomplished on Land Of The Crimson Dawn.

"The new tracks simply have more of that rock'n'roll feel," says Bay, "everything sounds much rawer, there's more focus on the guitars than before, and the musicians had more freedom during the recordings than they used to have." This added independence has paid off for Freedom Call: Land Of The Crimson Dawn is definitely one of the band's most dynamic productions since their 1999 debut Stairway To Fairyland, combining the passion of their live shows with carefully intricate arrangements and technical finesse.

The new Malrun album 'The Empty Frame' will be released via Target/Mighty Music throughout Europe on March 5th 2012 and may very well be one of the most promising new melodic metal albums in 2012. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Mercenary, Fear My Thoughts) and will retain MALRUNs characteristic crossbreed of hard-hitting metal, groovy riffs and melodic rock. This time around, however, MALRUN has pushed things to the boundaries, making the metal elements more metal and the melodies more melodic. MALRUNs European PR and advertising is handled by Gordeon Music Promotion from Berlin. During January-March small sound and video previews of the new Malrun album can be expected on the MALRUN homepages.

To properly kick off the release of the new album Dragon Productions can now announce that MALRUN will be supporting Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (DE) on their 3½ week 'The Greatest of the Best' European tour from April 21st to May 13th, where also Kontrust (AT) and Emil Bulls (DE) will play support. Following a first headlining run of 2,5 weeks of European dates as well as 5 highly successful weeks of support shows with Opeth, Sweden's PAIN OF SALVATION can now proudly announce their next headlining tour of Central Europe for February and March 2012.

PAIN OF SALVATION's Daniel Gildenlöw has checked in during the soon concluding Opeth tour (final dates are today, December 8th in Stockholm, Sweden at the "Arena" and then tomorrow, December 9th in Oslo, Norway at the sold out "Sentrum Scene") to comment as follows:
"It's been a bit strange for us to play first slot, but we've had a lot of fun and the feedback from the crowds has been great every night. We seem to have struck a chord with a lot of Opeth's fans, so we are glad that we accepted their invitation.

Now, when we have obviously left a lot of fans hungry for more, it feels great to announce the upcoming European tour in February and March.

This trip has been odd since we all know that Johan and Fredrik are leaving the band. We are enjoying ourselves on stage in the same way a typical Swede enjoys those late fall days of bonus summer, haha. That said, we have a very interesting line-up for February.

Daniel "D2" Karlsson who played the bass for this tour will take over Fredrik's place behind the keyboards (he is a keyboard player from the start and played keyboards on our trip to India in 2010 - being in Pain of Salvation practically indicates that you are a multi-instrumentalist).

For the bass we will have Gustaf Hielm joining, who some people might recognize as the bass player on the Road Salt tracks Innocence and Deeper Cut. Others might recognize him as the Pain of Salvation bass player before the first album, or the bass player of Charta 77 and Meshuggah. I simply recognize him as arguably the best bass player I have ever heard.

Now, the only thing left is to decide on a new guitar player. We have had tons of applications coming in from around the world (10-15 from Brazil alone!) but we still have our doors open for a few days, before we start the final auditions in mid-December.

We still have three more shows together, and we will make the most of it - enjoy the ride. After that, again, we go into the wild. Calmed by the fact that our daring fans will follow, as usual. Pain of Salvation has been called the bravest band alive. Well, if so, we must indeed have the bravest fans :)

It's official: Belgian thrashers After All have inked a deal with Roadrunner Records. The new album is set for release in the spring of 2012. After All are currently in the studio recording new songs.

For After All, the collaboration with Roadrunner Records is the ultimate highlight of a year that already was very successful. Although the band remained unsigned for some time following the bankruptcy of their previous label, slowing down never was an option.

In 2011, After All toured Europe as part of Killfest with Overkill, Destruction and Heathen. After All's self-released EP 'Becoming The Martyr' was named demo of the year in Aardschok and demo of the month in Rock Hard.

"As heavy metal kids, we basically grew up on Roadrunner releases", commented After All guitarist Dries Van Damme. "From 'Master of puppets' and 'Melissa', to 'Hell awaits' and 'Skeptics apocalypse': they all came to us through Roadrunner."

Over the years, After All have been fortunate enough to tour Europe with great Roadrunner bands like King Diamond, Fear Factory, Sepultura, Life Of Agony and Stone Sour.

"To become part of a record label with such a rich history is more than we ever dared to dream of when we started this band", added Van Damme. "We will wear the Roadrunner logo with pride."

GOD DETHRONED recap 2011 and look forward to the last four shows in the band's history!
Just four more shows and that's it for GOD DETHRONED. Guitarist Danny Tunker gives us a look inside the heart and soul of GOD DETHRONED!

"God Dethroned, the final year. 2011. When the decision was made to do it this way Michiel, Henk and I supported Henri's decision, of course, but it would be a lie to say we were happy about it. His reasons for doing it are -of course- his own and he looks to other horizons after playing with God Dethroned for 20+ years. He is building his own guitars, speakers and amps and going for that with the same intensity as he has played with God Dethroned for all those years.

Originally, we would only do about 4 gigs as a 'farewell tour', though offers came in all the time. We did book some extra shows, one each in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and one show in Leewarden, Holland. Eindhoven Metal Meeting was going to be the final one (on December, 17th) and we have honored that commitment for all offers that came, safe one, which was just too good to turn down. I'm referring to 70.000 tons of metal of course. Any band would love to play that cruise. Play two shows on a cruise-ship with some of your favorite bands and 2000 fans? Forget it! So December, 17th is going to be the final show for God Dethroned on solid ground. The other 2 shows will be on a ship in the ocean.

The other shows we did this year were Summer Breeze 2011, which was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had with this band and Motocultor in France the day after. Hanging out with Tyr and Moonsorrow on a nightliner and party? Check. Can't believe that was in August already.

And now, it's November. And we only have 4 more shows to go. The first one on December, 10th in Groningen was added about 2 months ago when the protest from fans that we wouldn't play our unofficial 'hometown' became so overwhelming that we just gave in. It turned into a day full of bands where, as fate would have it, Michiel and I will be pulling double-duty as Prostitute Disfigurement will be playing, too.

Then it's Eindhoven Metal Meeting. Then Christmas, New Year and a cruise. Can't believe this will be the end of it, but it sure has been fun. It probably won't hit me for some time, but once we play the final notes for 'Under The Sign Of The Iron Cross' in Eindhoven and somewhere on the Atlantic, it probably will.

Thanks to the fans, bands, bookers and the lovely people at Metal Blade for all the support! Hope you all come out one last time to party with us."

...time to say goodbye...

After over 15 years of heavy music and being one of the founding members of Deadlock it is time to start a new chapter in my life.

It was not an easy decision for me to split ways with my longtime friends but as life goes on everybody has to learn where to set his priorities. Having a great job and a perfect little family there is simply not enough time to give Deadlock the attention and time it deserves.

So it is time to say a big thank you to all the people I met during that time and to all those friends that will always be part of my life. Deadlock to me always was so much more than just music, it was all about a strong message, a lifestyle and being on the road and party with friends, but times are changing and so I will search for new ways to give my thoughts and emotions a voice.

It was a great time to be on the road with best friends, sharing so many funny moments we will laugh about for the rest of our lifes (Tobi and Gert know what I talk about), having a musical genius that gave my lyrics the base (thanx for that Sebastian), having a beautiful voice on my side, that became more and more to the Deadlock trademark (Thanx Sabine). And thanks to all the people that worked for or with us troughout those years.

All the best to the new Deadlock team. I will never forget those years.

On Friday Sep 09th the "black carpet" was rolled out for the german METAL HAMMER AWARDS 2011 in Berlin. Live on stage: AUDREY HORNE, playing an intense live-set and cementing their reputation as one of the best live bands in Norway. In between songs like "CHARON", "BLAZE OF ASHES" and "THRESHOLD" the norwegian 6-piece presented two brandnew and unreleased tracks to the guests of the Metal Hammer award show – a foretaste of the upcoming album, which will be released in 2012. After their live performance at the awards ceremony AUDREY HORNE returned to the stage to receive their first international award by winning the 'UP AND COMING' award. Congratulations!

Hey everyone,

I can hardly believe that after months of working and waiting, my new single "Feel Alive" premieres today!! (you can download it here).

This song was actually the first track producer Daniel Cardoso sent me in October 2010, a couple of weeks after we first met in Paris.
I immediately loved its upbeat vibe, the intense melodic loop and the fact that it enabled me to write both soft and strong vocal lines within the same song.

I'm really proud that the first song we wrote together is also the first single.
It all started with "Feel Alive" and we are finishing the whole album at this very moment.

I'm so excited for you to see and hear this!!

Malrun support for Alter Bridge

When Alter Bridge visits Denmark on 12th of November it is with Danish Malrun as main support. Malrun announces: "musically it is a perfect match with Malrun and Alter Bridge as both bands combine hardness with good melodies, and we will do our best to get the party started that night. On a personal level it is a childhood dream playing with your idols like Tremonti and Kennedy, and we have been listening to Creed and Alter Bridge since we learned which way is up on a guitar. It doesn't get much cooler than sharing the stage with these Tremonti and co."

Malrun was in April 2011 on its first international tour in Germany and Schwitzerland together with Audrey Horne, and Malrun generally more and more gearing up for Europe and especially the German market. In less than a month Malrun enters Hansen Studios (Volbeat) to record its second album which is expected to be released in February 2012.

The CD was recorded at Slaughter's Palace studio and was once again produced and engineered by the band's musical mastermind and guitar/sound wizard Sebastian Reichl. "Bizarro World" was the first ever chart relevant release for DEADLOCK with entering the German Top 100 album charts at rank 61.

Various tracks from our latest album "That's How We Roll" will be used as soundtrack for a new Danish action/adventure movie, called "The Last Demon Slayer". Stay tuned for further info on this new movie by the Danish director and producer Shaky Gonzalez/"First Tribe Films & Phenomena Pictures".

As an alternative teaser for the upcoming film, SuperCharger has been invited to join in on the set, to shoot a trailer for the film, using the track "Heart On Overdrive" as soundtrack and the band themselves being a part of the scenes.

The band is getting ready for more video projects as well as a remaining 2011 with numerous European concerts and touring, starting out at Malmö Festival as one of this year Bandit Rock Radio bands.

This is the most painful update I have ever had to write...

Due to family obligations on the part of our longtime drummer, Mark Hernandez, Forbidden is forced to cancel it's tour of Europe and will start to search for an adequate permanent replacement right away. Compounding things is the fact that Mark and I also play in Demonica, who were to open the tour. Unfortunately, at this late date, there is no time nor budget to find a replacement who can handle both bands and our only option right now is to cancel the entire tour.

Forbidden would like to apologize to all of the different promoters, Continental Concerts, the bands Communic and Demonica, our label Nuclear Blast and most importantly our fans who have been waiting for us to finally make it overseas for our first proper European tour in support of Omega Wave. You all deserve better. This is a collective kick to every ones stomach and it is very difficult for us to swallow.

If there were any way to find one drummer to do both jobs and learn over 22 songs of material in only a couple of days, we would do it. But there is no way to teach somebody all of that material from the ground up and give the fans our very best. Our first choice was longtime Brother, Gene Hoglan, and since Gene is very familiar with our current set list, this makes the most sense. However, he only has a very small window to work with and no time to commit to an entire tour. But he did agree to fly out to Belgium with us so that Forbidden can play the Alcatraz Festival on August 27th! That works out to be the only days that work within Gene's busy schedule and it also allows us to get in front of as many fans as possible for one show.

In no way does this make up for all of the other gigs we will miss. They MUST be rescheduled for the future!

Unfortunately, that future will have to be without Mark Hernandez. He has played for the last time with Forbidden and we will be looking for the right replacement as soon as the dust settles. Obviously it takes a great player to play drums in Forbidden. We will only accept the best!

We all love Mark and hope he finds peace and serenity in his future with his family.

In the meantime we will continue and take the momentum we have gained from Omega Wave and use it as fuel for the next record and beyond!

FThe black circle has been closed once again and it is with great pleasure that we would like to announce and welcome our new bass player, ZORNHEYM.

Now, that we face our new line up, I must say that the atmosphere and the chemistry within the band feels absolutely fantastic. Furthermore, every single member of Dark Funeral is once again sharing a tremendously strong commitment, an absolute dedication as well as utter professionalism. And I am absolutely sure that what you, our dear fans, soon will be able to witness that this unholy gathering of these five knights in Satan's service is the most sinful and powerful Dark Funeral ever!

Following the turbulent and successful release of "Road Salt One" in the year 2010 (with numerous chart entries, Russian train bombs, the appearance at the huge Swedish "Melodifestivalen" as well as highly controversial video clips) and the touring activities in its support which climaxed this year with shows in India and South America in 2011 as well as last month's triumphant appearance at France's Hellfest, Swedish PAIN OF SALVATION can now finally reveal that the "Road Salt Two" album is scheduled for a September 26th, 2011 release date in Europe via InsideOutMusic.

But the exciting news don't stop at that, as PAIN OF SALVATION have just been confirmed as support act for a massive European tour together with Metal innovators OPETH. The so far announced dates can be seen HERE:

"It is with great pleasure we announce the first batch of tour dates for 'Road Salt Two'. Never has an album hungered more to get on the road, and we long for it to take us out there. Separately, "Road Salt One and Two" are pretty impressive animals, but together they turn into something formidably fearsome. A perfect beast - a creature built for the road.

We have really handpicked both bands we will be touring with this autumn. I have wanted to present Grammy awarded The Von Hertzen Brothers to our fans ever since I first heard their "Love Remains The Same" album last year, and it will be an honor to have them open for us on our Eastern Europe headline leg.


As for Opeth, well, first I heard from Mikael that he listens to "Road Salt One" while jogging, and then he went and put it third on his 'Best Albums of 2010' list. What could I do? Since I neither jog nor listens to contemporary music very much, this was our only means of sucking up and set the scale back to equilibrium. I mean, we already share a lot of our fan bases and our tastes in music. What would be more natural than to share stage? Alright, seriously speaking, we really look forward to touring with this super-nice band. We've played the same festivals a few times, and it always ends up with us hanging out and having a great time discussing obscure music, old guitars and food. Yes food, I am serious. Mikael owes me a tuna dinner.

Ave!

At first, I'd like to say that it feels extremely good to be back with all our might again. It's also amazing to see that the interest in Dark Funeral and our hellish musical crusade grows rapidly fast at the moment and is now bigger than ever before!

The 10 months we have been on hiatus have been quite frustrating to say the least, but make no mistake, now it is full throttle! We are currently busy rehearsing to get in killer shape and to be able to hit the road as soon as possible to unleash hell upon mankind once again!

Our booking agency, Dragon Productions, is currently hard at work on booking shows/tours for us. We have already announced to board 70000 TONS OF METAL. The World's Biggest Floating Heavy Metal Festival will cruise from Monday, January 23, 2012 aboard the Royal Caribbean "Majesty of the Seas" from Miami, FL to George Town, Cayman Islands and will not let you escape to the real world for four days until Friday, January 27, 2012.

"Broken Jade", the new video from Taiwanese metallers CHTHONIC, can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's new album, "Takasago Army", which will be released this summer via Spinefarm Records. Produced by Rickard Bengtsson (ARCH ENEMY, NEMESIS) at Sweet Spot Studios in Halmstad, Sweden, this 10-track outing completes a trilogy of CHTHONIC releases, telling a story that binds together the band's "Seediq Bale" and "Mirror Of Retribution" albums, released in 2007 and 2009, respectively.

Comments bassist Doris Yeh: "The Takasago Army was a Taiwanese troop of Japanese force/Axis powers that fought in the Pacific War/World War II between 1940 and 1944. The Takasago soldiers were descendants of a brave and powerful people from the mountains of Taiwan, people with a strong warrior tradition. They impressed their rivals with their cunning, tenacity and skill on the battlefield, and they became the most revered and most feared combat unit in the Japanese Imperial Army."

At its recent U.K. shows (a Hammerfest appearance plus a headline date at the Underworld in London), CHTHONIC announced that "Takasago Army" would not only see the band producing its most "brutal" compositions to date, but would also see it further exploring the concept of "orient metal."

"We have been categorized as black metal, death metal, melodic death, symphonic black metal and folk metal by different critics, and we appreciate that it's very hard to put us into a precise genre," says Doris. "On the one hand, we are inspired by some western metal music, but on the other, we are influenced by traditional Asian music forms, such as pentatonic scales, 'enka' music, and Taiwanese opera.

"When we were writing this new album, we tried to find the perfect balance between these two traditions, so that is why we've decided to use the 'orient metal' banner to define what we do. Plus, it provides a reference point for other Asian bands who want to head in the same direction…

I must admit that it surely was not an easy task to find a worthy replacement for Emperor Magus Caligula, who has been doing an amazing job for Dark Funeral during the past 15 years. He has not only been "the vocalist" for the band, but also a very good friend of mine and he always will be!

Anyway, 10 months of intense search worldwide have finally given result. And I'm VERY proud to announce and welcome "NACHTGARM" to the horde.

I think, I can speak for everyone in the band and say that besides completely knocking us down with the strength of his vocals and wide register, what truly blew us away was his presence, energy and the amazing spirit he showed during the final audition. He just came into the rehearsal room, found and took his rightful spot. And then just set the whole place on hellfire!

It's really hard to explain "that" certain feeling one is looking for, but once you get it, you just know that you've found the right man for the job. And that is something we all got "deluxe". No doubt about that! Mankind has no idea what is coming upon them. And I can't wait to bring this maniac on tour for the world to experience DARK FUNERAL in the most intense and hellish way ever!

During the 10 month we have been looking for a new vocalist and drummer, we have received over 1000 applications. The interest to join DARK FUNERAL has been way over expectation and quite overwhelming to say the least. And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who applied for the jobs. One thing is for sure: There are a lot of unknown talents out there. And once they've found the right band to deliver their goods, I'm sure we all will hear from many of these guys in the future. Chaq Mol Comments: When E.M.Caligula quit the band my first thought was "how the fuck will we be able to find a worthy replacement now?". In my eyes he was the best vocalist in the Black Metal scene. Anyhow, after we had listened through a couple of hundreds applicants, there were two guys that really stood out and sounded very promising indeed. The question now was, would they nail it on a live audition too, and would their personalities be of that kind we were looking for?! Well, after 10 month search we finally found the right man for the job! And all my previous doubts and concerns are now a memory forgotten. NACHTGARM, welcome to the horde!

Nachtgarm comments: To me, Dark Funeral is the epitome of Black Metal. To be a member of this institution now, is not only a big honor for me, but is also complementing my work as a lead singer as well as my action at the front of the stage throughout the years. Consequently, I am very glad that Dark Funeral put their unholy faith in me and my abilities.

As the successor of Emperor Magus Caligula I am quite aware of the high expectations being directed to my person. However, I can assure every one of you out there, that with every breath I take I will live up to these expectations. Hands down. This is the arrival of Satan's Empire. DOMINATOR is back!!!   Yes, you heard it right,  

After a short break of focusing on other aspects of my life, it’s a great privilege for me to announce my return to Dark Funeral. The time off has fueled my inspiration and urge to get back behind the kit and annihilate. It’s an honour to play alongside my fellow brothers again. May Dark Funeral rise to Dominate once more.  

Lord Ahriman comments: It feels absolutely killer to be working with Dominator again. He's not only an amazing drummer, but also a very good friend. And I'm glad he's back in the band. "It's hard to believe. After two years in-between rehearsal room, shows, being on tour and pre-production we finally managed to get our third album ready to launch. It's named "Carnival Cadavre" and will be tested in human experiment at the Summer Breeze festival (www.summer-breeze.de) in Dinkelsbühl on August 19th 2011 for the first time. Once again we produced our album with Corni Bartels at the Weltraum Studios and Björn Goosses (Killustrations) again purified our disc with a stunning artwork.

We added another fine portion of groove and brutality for you and showed once again what Hackneyed is made of. With our new label Lifeforce Records we found the matching partner and we're really looking forward to our future cooperation. "It's hard to believe. After two years in-between rehearsal room, shows, being on tour and pre-production we finally managed to get our third album ready to launch. It's named "Carnival Cadavre" and will be tested in human experiment at the Summer Breeze Festival in Dinkelsbühl on August 19th 2011 for the first time. Once again we produced our album with Corni Bartels at the Weltraum Studios and Björn Goosses (Killustrations) again purified our disc with a stunning artwork.
We added another fine portion of groove and brutality for you and showed once again what Hackneyed is made of. With our new label Lifeforce Records we found the matching partner and we're really looking forward to our future cooperation. We're curious where our journey with the "Carnival Cadavre" will lead us within the next weeks and months. And perhaps soon it's also close to you they say: The Circus' Back in town!!!"

Sweden's extreme Metallers SHINING have, for the first time in the band's 15 year history, released a video for a track from one of their albums. The video was Directed by Martin Strandberg & Niklas Kvarforth, produced by Martin Strandberg and created by Black Shadows Filmproductions & Hill Fifty and uses the track "Förtvivlan, Min Arvedel" from the new album "VII / Född Förlorare". It has been released in both censored and uncensored versions given the graphic nature of some of the scenes:

"We know we are going to get heavily criticised for some of the scenes" commented front man and founder Niklas Kvarforth, "but it's nothing more than you will see as soon as you switch on a television or watch a move, or walk down a city street come to that. But we're SHINING and it's always open season on SHINING when it comes to people who have neither understood, nor taken the time to try and understand, where the band is coming from".

SHINING's seventh full length album "VII / Född Förlorare", which in English means "Born Loser" was released this month on the band's new label Spinefarm Records, and includes guest appearances from Erik Danielsson of WATAIN, Chris Amott of ARCH ENEMY, Peter Bjärgö of ARCANA, and Nordman, who is one of Sweden's biggest pop stars. The band also recently announced that it would be releasing its first ever single, which, aside from "Förtvivlan, Min Arvedel", will include a cover ALICE COOPER song "Prince of Darkness". The single will only be available in Sweden for the time being, although, according to Kvarforth, the band is looking into the possibility of releasing a different version elsewhere.

Great news, everyone!

Me and my band will open all the concerts on the second leg of Within Temptation's European tour this November.
I haven't performed in most of these cities for a while, so I hope you'll take this opportunity to come and see us play!
I go way back with Sharon & the guys and I have great memories performing as a guest on their Black Symphony DVD.
I'm thrilled being able to perform for these huge crowds and I think it's exciting that some of the audience might not be familiar with my music.

Irish pagan metal masters PRIMORDIAL have entered the official German album charts at position 31 with their new album Redemption At The Puritan's Hand!

This is a great success for PRIMORDIAL and Metal Blade Records considering it´s the first ever chart entry for PRIMORDIAL in Germany!

Comments singer A.A. Nemtheanga: "What goes around comes around my friends, you can't keep a good band down, whatever the cliche might be! The industry may have changed vastly even since we released To the nameless dead but for a band like Primordial that resolutely goes against the grain without compromise charting at #31 is still a remarkable achievement so thanks to everyone who has supported the band through thick and thin over the last 20 years and to Metal Blade for their part in our gradual ascent since the release of The gathering wilderness. Having sold over 35,000 copies of their debut, Stairway To Fairyland, Freedom Call`s tour with Saxon, Angra and Edguy turned into a triumphal march, culminating in memorable shows with Savatage and Skew Siskin in August 1999 as part of the Popkomm music fair in Cologne. The band played almost fifty shows in 2000 and proved their worth at various festivals, like the Wacken Open Air 1999 and 2000. Their second release, Crystal Empire, even surpassed the debut's success. The sales figures increased, and even before the album was available, Freedom Call were invited to the Metal Fest in Bologna, Italy, played the Metal Days in Switzerland and delivered an unforgettable performance at the Stratovarius/Rhapsody show in Bourges, France.

Following the release of Crystal Empire, Freedom Call embarked on a 63-day European tour with Hammerfall and Virgin Steele that took them through Scandinavia, Holland, Germany, Austria, Hungry, France and Spain, among other countries. June 2002 saw the arrival of the third Freedom Call recording, Eternity, followed by an extensive tour with Blind Guardian, during which their most recent release, Live Invasion, was recorded. At the same time, Freedom Call established themselves as a headlining act in their own right and were celebrated as the stars of the Wacken Road Show 2004 night after night. The Circle Of Life saw the integration of more modern and unusual arrangements into the band's sound, extending the musicians' sonic range – an element which their album, Dimensions, also benefits from. With both albums they toured extensively with bands like Rage and Dragonforce. In 2010 the album Legend Of The Shadowking saw the light of day. The album is based on the story of King Ludwig II and charted in Sweden and Finland. In February/March 2010 Freedom Call embarked on a huge european tour together with Gamma Ray and in May 2010 with Axel Rudi Pell. Afterwards they played over 40 gigs on festivals and as a headliner. After nearly 15 years of existence and approx. 200.000 albums sold it was time for the first DVD which was shot by the end of 2010 in Pratteln, Switzerland.
