Madre Sun

” Madre Sun successfully fuse the sounds of just about every one of your favorite ’90s rock bands into
one neat, gain-driven package” Guitar World

“…and from there emerged one of the biggest revelations of heavy rock of recent times.” (Roadiecrew

“Without any doubt, one of the most promising works of 2020 within rock” Tenho Mais Discos Que

Madre Sun’s nostalgic blend of furious and riff-heavy classic rock draws inspiration from the likes of
AC/DC, Guns ‘n’ Roses to Alice In Chains and Southern Rock, perhaps seeking to present a “guiding
light” for a new generation of young classic rock fans. Moreover, the band’s five track offering serves
as a tantalising taste of things to come from the skilled and highly energised rock outfit.
Recorded live in a five-day session in ARU Studios in Cambridge and released earlier this year on
24th July, ‘The Speed of Light’ saw huge success in the Cavina brothers’ home country, where it
entered the Brazilian iTunes Album Chart at #15 and received 40k Spotify streams in the first week of
release. Madre Sun have also seen support from renowned American music historian, radio
personality, talk show host and author Eddie Trunk, who tweeted the music video for EP track ‘Trick
Up The Sleeve’ and spoke of them as a “killer sounding new band” that he was “excited to keep an
eye on”.

The EP’s eye-catching and vibrant cover art was created by Brazilian artist Wildner Lima, who has
also provided artwork for GWAR’s 2019 performance at Cleveland’s House Of Blues, Ministry’s 2017
performance at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle and the ‘Monsters, Machines and Mythological Beasts’
compilation album from Clutch, released earlier this year.

Carving a versatile journey of powerful rock riffs, thoughtful lyrics and broad, imposing choruses, ‘The
Speed of Light’ breezes seamlessly through each track almost as fast as its title might suggest,
presenting nothing short of the dizzying highs and catastrophic lows of a life “lived” – a concept known
to us all
