DECEMBER 20TH 20132013-moonsorrow_telaviv

Finnish pagan metal act MOONSORROW and Greek dark metal act ROTTING CHRIST will play a special show together in Tel Aviv December 20th.

It’s the first time of MOONSORROW to play Israel after years of requests from the loyal local metal fans.

For ROTTING CHRIST Israel is a "second home", played there in the years of 1994, 1998, 2000 and 2010 the band established a solid strong fanbase.

Both bands together represents a quality form of extreme sophisticated unique form of metal music as reflected in a rich catalogue of albums over the years.

Stated promoter Yishai Sweartz:
"it’s a pleasure and honor to bring to Tel Aviv 2 of my favorite metal bands, both bands are proof that quality music is the answer and the form that stands the test of time, Moonsorrow is a band I wanted to bring for many many years as they took the Nordic metal to new dimensions and the best thing I heard in the Pagan/Folk style since the golden days of Bathory, so I am glad and proud to have the opportunity to bring them over and complete the "Big Five" Finnish bands played in Israel by me: Moonsorrow, Finntroll, Turisas, Ensiferum and Korpiklaani.

Rotting Christ are my blood brothers in arms, being there with them since the 1994 show through the 1998, 2000, and 2010 shows in Israel, the band are like a family here, we are always glad to bring them over and with the last 3 records I came to realize they attached a new generation of fans, some of them were not even born when we crushed the stage in Tel Aviv with "Thy Mighty Contract" in 1994.

I am sure this will be a night to remember and I’m proud to support those 2 fantastic bands.

DARK FUNERAL – reissue first six albums via Century Media Records from September on! Looking for new vocalist!

25. August 2013

After recently signing to Century Media Records for their upcoming new studio album, DARK FUNERAL now present you a series of stunning reissues of their previous six albums which offer melodic yet blasting satanic hymns in absolute perfection and were created in close cooperation with the band. Furthermore, the band is currently looking for a new vocalist, as mastermind Lord Ahriman (guitar) points out:

"I’m proud to announce that we are finally doing proper re-issues of our classic albums through Century Media. And to really spice things up, I have dug deep into my personal photo archives to come up with some killer photos/flyers, previously mostly unseen by the public eye. These will be the definite versions of our classic albums, especially the nice vinyls! Each album also contains detailed liner notes and besides myself Themgoroth, Dan Swanö & some other old friends that were present at the time I formed the band contributed to this. Unfortunately, I could not finish off these re-issues with Blackmoon, who sadly passed away earlier this year, but he was fully aware of them and for "In The Sign…" and "The Secrets…" we at least added a tribute page to commemorate him. We’ve just ended our festival season with a killer show at Germany’s Summer Breeze festival. Now, my/our main focus will be to resume writing the next masterpiece, tentatively set for release in 2014. More news to come…
DARK FUNERAL is currently looking for a permanent new vocalist – preferable from Scandinavia. Serious applications can be sent to!"

The first batch of DARK FUNERAL reissues covers the self-titled MCD plus bonus material, "The Secrets Of The Black Arts" (incl. the remixed/remastered 8-track Unisound mix as bonus) and "Vobiscum Satanas" (which comes along with killer live tracks). ARTILLERY signs to Metal Blade!

22. July 2013

artillery-band1Metal Blade is welcoming legendary Danish Thrashers ARTILLERY to their arsenal!

Denmark’s ARTILLERY is easily appointed one of Europe’s earliest exponents of Thrash Metal, and the band’s contribution to the bourgeoning genre is difficult to ignore. The Danish quartet successfully managed to fuse an abrasive brutality with technicality and strong melodies, with the noteworthy guitar leads of the Stützer-brothers serving as highlights.

ARTILLERY was formed in the Copenhagen suburb of Taastrup, Denmark in 1982 by Michael and Morten Stützer. Since then ARTILLERY have gone thru numerous line-up changes and released six studio longplayers. The first period of ARTILLERY’s existence gave the World the three classic albums Fear of Tomorrow, Terror Squad and By Inheritance featuring some of the finest moments of Thrash Metal Europe has ever put out.

After an eight-year hiatus ARTILLERY returned in style in 1999, sounding as fresh and hungry as ever before without sounding like one of those nostalgia acts. The three albums B.A.C.K., When Death Comes and My Blood put ARTILLERY not only back on the map, but also to the top of their genre.

Comments ARTILLERY on the signing: "Artillery is very proud to have signed with legendary Metal Blade Records! Metal Blade is the company who released Metallica’s first song, Slayer’s and Trouble’s debut records and who in their line-up have our fellow Danes Mercyful Fate/King Diamond signed. With their over 30 years of experience in the business this is a big step forward for Artillery. We can’t wait to have our new album released on Metal Blade, and we are looking forward to promote it with our first American tour ever. We also want to thank Metal Mind and Agnieszka for the last 5 years!"

Since the release of their last album My Blood in 2011 ARTILLERY have played European and US tours and appeared at several festivals and the Barge To Hell cruise. In 2012 ARTILLERY saw the departure of Carsten N. Nielsen and Søren Adamsen. Two new members were recruited, making Josua Madsen the new drummer and Michael Bastholm Dahl the new singer. Touring plans for the rest of 2013 include the U.S. as well as South America, making the band tour extensively for the rest of the year. Facebreaker were formed in 1999, following a conversation between Janne, Roberth, Mikael and Jonas.
They had similar music tastes and decided to start a brutal and straight-forward metal band. A few
rehearsal-sessions later they added lead guitarist Janos to their line-up. Facebreakers first demo "Use Your Fist" facebreaker_band1was recorded at a local studio in the ginning of the new millennium.
In March 2001 they went back to the studio to record a promo demo called "Hate and Anger". 2002 U.K.
based Rage of Achilles Records got hold of their promo and offered the and a deal. A Rage of Achilles compilation album called Conquest For The Empire" was out in April, featuring Facebreaker along with other new signings on the label. In September Janos quit the band due to lack of time. Fortunately they knew a guitar-player named Mika and a line-up change took place.

10. July 2013

We’ve got a new drummer!

Although it wasn’t easy to find a follow-up drummer for Mandy we finally succeeded to hook a suitable replacement in the person of Oscar Alblas. Recently we’ve started rehearsing with him and he’s proved to be perfectly able to handle the old KONG stuff as well as the material from the last incarnation of KONG.
Oscar is a classical trained youngster(!) with a broad experience in musical styles varying from orchestral works to metal. He is as eager as we are to work on the new album and to climb the stages a.s.a.p.
We’ll keep you posted!
